What is Guard?
- It
is a formulation of Trichoderma Viride which is non-pathogenic
and eco-friendly.
- Antagonistic
and hyper-parasitic in action against different pathogens
in Tea field.
- The
organism is isolated from tea growing region, hence it is
an economically well established bio-control agent for tea
growing areas in North East India.
- It
is compatible with organic manures which contains optimum
organic matters.

Benefits
of Guard usage
|
- To
protects tea bush from primary and secondary root
and stem diseases e.g. Brown root rot, charcoal stump
rot, poria brach canker etc.
- To
increase number of shoots after pruning.
- To
protect tea nursery diseases caused by pythium, phomopsis
etc.
- As
a seed dresser to protect tea seeds from fungal infection.
- It
establishes and protects roots from pathogens by colonising
on the exudates of the roots.

Application

Poria
Branch Canker :
20% aqua paste by brush or 10% aqua suspension as
spray on pruning cuts (MP,LP,DS) immediately after
pruning to protect tea plants from poria. Use high
volume sprayer with NMD nozzles.

Pit :
Mix
2kg. Guard with 300kgs. organic manure. Wet it for 1 week
by keeping it wet, in jute bags or covering the Wet material
with polythene sheets. Use this material @ 300gm. per planting
pit, around the plant in the pit.You will notice a boost in
plant growth and no mortality.

For
Hail Damage
Instead
of using chemicals on bushes one should use Guard. This is
the only product that cures the damaged branches, at the same
time protecting them against harmful microbes that cause disease.

Dosage
2kg./Ha.
Mix 2kg. GUARD in 200ltrs. water and let the solution settle
for 1/2hr. Use the decanted liquid to spray on bushes.
